New year. New staff. New reservoir. New plans. New board members.
Wonderful things are happening at the Rio Linda Elverta Community Water District. Our general manager, District engineer, legal counsel, staff, and Board of Directors are making great strides in their effort to provide our community with clean water and sufficient water pressure.
Under the direction of our highly effective past board presidents, Brent Dills and Matt Longo, the RLECWD Board of Directors established realistic, achievable goals and strategies to meet current and future water needs. The district is now functioning smoothly. It is also in good financial health.
As you may remember two years ago the district completed a new high capacity well. Well 15 and the new water reservoir ensure that the State of California will soon be lifting the building moratorium in our area.
I wish to say that we will miss the involvement of Directors Matt Longo and Frank Caron. The five directors of the past two years brought expertise, experience, and respect to our meetings. We welcome our newly elected board members, John Ridilla and Mary Harris. I am confident that with their help more great things will be accomplished during the coming years. – RLECWD Board President, Duane Anderson
